It is my intention that this website be a source of knowledge, wisdom, and clarity about Meibukan Goju-ryu Karate-do for those who are seeking the true nature of this traditional martial art. 

There are many places in the world today where you can learn some kind of fighting.  But, it is very important to understand that there is much more to traditional karate-do practice than simply learning how to fight.  Teaching someone serious fighting skill without also instilling a sense of discipline, honor, and virture is simply irresponsible.  It dishonors karate-do's heritage and does a disservice to mankind. 

Critical to the proper development of the Meibukan Goju-ryu Karate-do practitioner are the history, traditions, heritage, principles, fellowship, high standards, etc. that comprise this traditional martial discipline.

In Meibukan Goju-ryu Karate-do we practice humility and "seek the way of virtue."  I welcome all fellow practitioners and students who aspire to these lofty goals, and offer my experience and insight for your review and consideration.
